I love how art points at and comes from an ether that can’t be otherwise captured. The flickering orange street lamp shining down on a rundown bus stop, a single chord struck on an out-of-tune piano emanating from a bungalow - small moments that evoke a mysterious feeling in us.

The rabbit hole of art seems very similar to seeking spiritual, otherworldly, and existential questions. Words might be used to describe, but then again they only point at which cannot be put in words. So as artists we engage in an alchemy, a magic. We musicians are fortunate to directly play with vibrations, thus connecting with our universe, fellow musicians, and listeners.

I believe it is our responsibility to spread love and unity as well as point at the injustices done to those who have been marginalized, brutalized, and left behind. We aren’t only social commentators but also storytellers. Hopefully the heartfelt and intuitive lens through which we observe the world and create art will help lead us to come together as one and deeply listen to each other. Hopefully it will guide us to return to a joyful, simpler, and still place in a time in which politicians and entrepreneurs continuously rant and shout rather than pause to quietly reflect or admit that they don’t have an answer.

I am a singer-songwriter as well as a recording artist. As the term suggests, I record, produce, and mix my songs. My path has been routed in this field, having helped many musicians record their own music. I’ve always taught children in music schools and kindergartens and believe it’s important to guide them to find their own way of musical expression and find confidence no matter where their path might take them.

 

Musically I draw from many genres and weave together diverse musical elements, bringing forth an eclectic yet catchy style of music. I paint from a wide palette of acoustic and electronic sounds using reverbs, echoes, EQs, and dynamics to find a place on the three-dimensional canvas on which every element can live. I prefer to get my inspiration from a jazz session, a film, or a gallery exhibit rather than listening to my fellow singer-songwriters.
